Vassilis Constantinidis moderates panel at the 4th Modern Employment Relations Conference

18/02/2026

Our Senior Partner and Head of the Employment Law team, Vassilis Constantinidis, participated as a panel moderator for the fourth consecutive year in the 4th “Modern Employment Relations Conference” held on February 18th at the Athens Concert Hall and organized by the Nomiki Vivliothiki.

The session, titled “The Digital Work Card – Payroll and the Interconnection with e‑EFKA”, brought together the Governor of e‑EFKA, Dr Alexandros Varveris, and senior partners from EY (Nikos Evangelopoulos), PwC (Zois Sotiropoulos) and Deloitte (Giorgos Frangos).

Vasilis’s probing questions sparked a highly practical debate after the announcement of the e‑EFKA rollout and its electronic integration with the Digital Card for APAs. Leading consultants shared concrete case studies, highlighting both the opportunities and the hurdles of deploying the Digital Work Card—not merely as an administrative tool, but as a cornerstone of a unified people‑data model that feeds real‑time analytics into HR processes. Participants examined how this technology can streamline payroll, enrich employee‑self‑service, and drive data‑driven decision‑making, while also flagging concerns about data governance, change‑management costs, and the need for robust training. The discussion concluded that, although the Digital Card promises to reshape payroll and broaden HR capabilities, its success will depend on addressing today’s talent‑management challenges and cultivating a culture that embraces continuous digital innovation.

Participants praised the lively exchange for its focus on transforming a seemingly administrative tool into a strategic, data‑driven asset that can reshape payroll processes, enhance HR decision‑making and influence organizational culture. The panel’s enthusiastic reception underscored our Firm’s commitment to staying at the forefront of Employment Law developments and to fostering practical, forward‑looking solutions for our clients.
