20/02/2025

At this year’s 3rd In-House Lawyers Forum, the founder and Managing Senior Partner of Dryllerakis Law Firm Mr. John C.Dryllerakis shared his insights in a conversation with Economou Argyris, General Counsel and General Manager of Legal Affairs and Corporate Governance, PPC S.A.

The event was organized by CLEON Conferences & Communications with the support of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and under the auspices of Rythmisis (National Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Personal Data and Digital Governance Law) and Homo Digitalis (NGO for the protection of digital rights).

The discussion focused on the importance of legal services within large corporations, featuring an exchange between the long-serving legal director of Public Power Corporation, and a former General Counsel of multinational companies. It underscored the evolving role of Greek lawyers, who are shifting from courtroom representation to advisory positions, supporting business decision-making within complex national and international regulations. In-house legal teams, with their deep understanding of corporate operations and needs, provide practical legal counsel. The growing establishment of legal departments in medium and large enterprises, along with the rise of law firms in Greece, reflects the increasing demand for such expertise.
