Shaping the Future of EU-US Tax Policy: Insights from Partner Nikolaia Anna Lepida at the 14th Thessaloniki Tax Forum

As part of the 14th Thessaloniki Tax Forum, organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce the Tax Affairs Committee on May 25th, and within the panel discussion “Legal and Regulatory Updates in EU and Greek Taxation”, our Firm, represented by Partner Nikolaia Anna Lepida, contributed with a presentation entitled “EU–US Perspectives: Balancing Competitiveness, Transparency and Tax Policy in a Changing Global Economy.”

The presentation explored how tax policy is increasingly called upon to balance competitiveness, transparency, legal certainty and fair taxation in a rapidly evolving global environment. Particular emphasis was placed on EU–US tax dynamics and the challenges faced by the EU, highlighting the need for a simpler, more coherent and predictable European tax framework that supports competitiveness while safeguarding transparency and institutional stability.
