Personal and Non-Personal Data in Energy Markets at the 5th Energy Legal Regulation & Compliance Forum

On Wednesday, December 10, our Associate Melina Atsalaki, participated in the 5th Energy Legal Regulation & Compliance Forum, organized by CLEON Conferences & Communications, under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy, the Hellenic Wind Energy Association and Hellenic Energy Suppliers Association. Melina presented and discussed the topic “Personal and Non-Personal Data in Energy Markets”, within the context of the 3^rd Session “Energy Projects: Economic, Commercial and Regulatory Aspects”.

The discussion focused on the technical and legal requirements governing the deployment and operation of smart meters, as well as the challenges arising from the interaction between data protection rules and energy legislation. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of achieving a balanced approach that safeguards fundamental rights while supporting the digital transformation of the energy sector.
