Dryllerakis Law Firm is pleased to announce the successful completion of the 7th Law & Taxation Conference, organized by Nomiki Vivliothiki on December 4th, under the scientific supervision and auspices of the Hellenic Society of Tax Law and Fiscal Studies, as well as the auspices of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE – IAPR), the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), the Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ACCI), the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies, the Federation of Industries of Greece (SBE), and the Hellenic Investors Association (SED). Our firm was proud to support this important event as a Bronze Sponsor.

Our Partner, John Papadakis, participated as a speaker in the first section, “Artificial Intelligence & Taxation,” where he analyzed the multifaceted impact of AI on tax systems. In his speech, John examined how rapidly advancing AI technologies are reshaping tax administration and compliance frameworks. He highlighted the delicate balance between innovation and the protection of fundamental rights, emphasizing the responsibilities of both regulators and businesses under the emerging EU AI Act. His analysis further explored the increasing importance of personal data governance in an AI-driven environment, offering a practical perspective on the challenges and safeguards needed for reliable, lawful and transparent tax processes.

The conference gathered leading professionals, academics and institutional representatives to discuss new directions in tax policy and to highlight the importance of institutional stability, predictability and legal certainty for fostering business activity and investment. The exchange of ideas offered valuable insight into the regulatory and practical developments shaping the future of taxation.

We extend our warm thanks to the organizers and participants for an engaging and thought-provoking event.
