We are pleased to announce that our Partner and Tax and Administrative Law expert, Eleftherios Rantos, represented our Firm at the prestigious conference “JUSTICE: FOUNDATION OF DEVELOPMENT & PROSPERITY”, co-organized for the first time by the Council of State, the Supreme Court, the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), the Association of Law Firms of Greece (SDEE), and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA), on September 23rd.

In his capacity as Deputy Board Member of the Association of Law Firms of Greece (SDEE), Eleftherios participated in a distinguished panel discussion on the critical issue of enforcement and compliance with court decisions, alongside esteemed judges, lawyers, and experts.

Representing the perspective of legal practitioners, he underscored the prevailing lack of a compliance culture among lawyers—despite their central role in all stages of enforcement and compliance procedures. He noted that much of their expertise in this area is derived from practical experience rather than systematic training.

To tackle the ongoing challenges of delays in enforcement proceedings, Eleftherios proposed increasing the relevant judicial costs and aligning lawyers’ fees accordingly. He further emphasized the need for the broad adoption of electronic and digital tools by legal professionals as a vital step toward streamlining processes and achieving significantly faster and more efficient procedures, while also stressing the importance of continuous training on compliance and enforcement issues, involving Law Schools, Bar Associations and the Association of Law Firms of Greece.
