Educating the Next Generation: The Role of Trainees and Paralegals in Modern Legal Practice

20/10/2025

Οn Saturday, October 18, Anna Ntionia, Partner and Head of the Trainee Program at our law firm, participated in the conference for the 10th anniversary of the Certified Paralegal Program organized by Nomiki Vivliothiki, as part of the 3rd Legal Profession Forum.

During the panel, she highlighted the challenges trainee lawyers face when entering the profession and the importance of a holistic approach to their ongoing development. She emphasized that paralegals are not competitors, but valuable partners: by taking responsibility for paralegal tasks, they create space for trainees to gain hands-on legal experience, enhancing the quality of their training.

She stressed that it is the lawyer’s role to guide both trainees and paralegals effectively. By ensuring clear roles, mutual respect, and a culture of trust and safety, strong leadership naturally drives team cohesion and high-quality outcomes.

At Dryllerakis Law Firm, we have always been committed to educating and empowering trainees, seeing it as our duty to pass on knowledge to as many young professionals as possible. At the same time, we embrace emerging roles in the Greek legal market, such as paralegals, striving every day to combine tradition with modernity and create a positive, collaborative working environment where learning and excellence go hand in hand.
