22/03/2025

We are excited to share that our Partner, Anna Ntionia, coordinated the Environment and Energy panel at the 2nd Invest in Greece Conference.

The panel focused on key areas such as Climate Neutrality, Circular Economy, and Green Investments, highlighting the path forward for sustainable growth in Greece.

The panel covered a wide range of critical topics that are shaping the future of Greece’s green economy, such as Climate Neutrality, Circular Economy, and Green Investments.

Anna’s coordination of this panel provided an insightful exploration of two groundbreaking green projects in Greece: Route 2025 by Athens International Airport and Project Olympus by AGET. These projects, though in different industries, share a crucial common goal: achieving carbon neutrality, contributing directly to Greece’s national target of climate neutrality by 2050.

Key highlights included insights from:

· Mr. Konstantinos Aravosis on the Climate Law and the Circular Economy Roadmap, which are paving the way for more sustainable investments in Greece.

· Mr. Evangelos Georgiou shared updates on the Route 2025 initiative, which will make Eleftherios Venizelos Airport the first carbon-neutral airport in Europe.

· Mr. Nikos Bozos discussed the Project Olympus by AGET, focusing on the CCS technology (Carbon Capture and Storage) aimed at transforming the cement factory in Milaki, Evia, into a carbon-neutral facility.

These projects are emblematic of how green investments are driving sustainable development in Greece and beyond.
