Celebrating Excellence: Supporting NKUA Law School’s Rising Legal Minds

On September 15, Senior Partner Cleomenis Yannikas, had the honor of attending a special ceremony at the Great Hall of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). The event—which featured opening remarks by Rector Professor Gerasimos Siasos, Law School Dean Professor Dr. Dr. Konstantinos Christodoulou, and distinguished guests from the Athens and Piraeus Bar Associations—recognized the exceptional accomplishments of NKUA students during the academic year.

We were honored to co-sponsor two remarkable all-female teams representing the NKUA Law School on the international stage:

• European Law Moot Court (ELMC): Under the academic supervision of Professor Rebecca-Emmanouela Papadopoulou and Associate Professor Dr. Manolis Perakis, undergraduate students Ariadni Mathioudaki, Stavroula Bouterakou, Anastasia Ioanna Anastasaki, and Despoina Damigou-Zamakina successfully qualified for the highly competitive regional final held in Bratislava, Slovakia, in February 2026. Special thanks go to their dedicated coaches—Alexandra Alexaki, Eleni Vasilaki, Eleni-Maria Kotzia, and Sophia Bantana—who were themselves part of the brilliant team we supported last year.
• Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) International Arbitration Moot: At the FDI Moot 2025 in Boston, USA, students Elvira Logothetidi, Maria-Anna Georgiou, and Anna Anastasia Boutou delivered an exceptional performance under the expert supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Anastasios Gourgourinis. The team was awarded 2nd Highest Ranked Team, with Elvira and Maria-Anna earning 2nd and 3rd place, respectively, as “Honourable Mentions for Best Advocate.”
