On May 5 and 6, our Energy Partner, Anna Ntionia, participated as a speaker at the 6th Energy Law conference, organized by Nomiki Vivliothiki, under the prestigious auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy, the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Waste and Water, the Hellenic Wind Energy Association and the Association of Photovoltaic Energy Producers (SPEF).

During her presentation titled “𝘊𝘒𝘳𝘣𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘡𝘰𝘳𝘒𝘨𝘦: π˜›π˜©π˜¦ π˜•π˜¦π˜Έ π˜™π˜¦π˜¨π˜Άπ˜π˜’π˜΅π˜°π˜³π˜Ί π˜“π˜’π˜―π˜₯𝘴𝘀𝘒𝘱𝘦 π˜ͺ𝘯 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘀𝘦”, she provided valuable insights into the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape for Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technology in Greece. Specifically, she broke down:
β€’ The Licensing & Siting Framework: How the new regulatory regime shapes the deployment of CCUS projects.
β€’ Environmental Safeguards: The crucial legal mechanisms and safety measures designed to ensure that CCUS projects are located and operated with the highest standards of environmental protection.

As CCUS becomes a cornerstone of the energy transition, staying ahead of the regulatory curve is key to unlocking sustainable investment. Our Firm is proud to support this initiative, that promotes dialogue on the challenges and opportunities defining the future of energy, as a silver sponsor.
